The head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia: The total volume of Russian meat exports will approach 1 million tons in 2025.

The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance stated in October that from January to September 2025, the export volume of Russian meat and meat products increased by 14% year-on-year to 665,800 tons. Among these, poultry meat and poultry by-products exported amounted to 272,500 tons, while pork exports stood at 205,000 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 35.6%. The volume of exported ready-made meat products exceeded 64,100 tons. Beef exports were 25,600 tons. In an interview with Russia 24 TV, Dankvert said, "By 2025, our meat exports will approach 1 million tons. Fifteen years ago, this was unimaginable, as at that time we still imported 3.5 million tons of meat." According to him, meat imported by Russia from Belarus accounts for 40% of the total imports, while dairy products account for 90%. Additionally, Kazakhstan is also an important supplier. Dankvert concluded that Russia has vast potential for exporting to international markets, and its export scope is continuously expanding, including to African countries.
