Ukraine: The Ministry of Economy has approved the requirements for the production of mineral waters

The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture has approved hygienic requirements for the production of mineral and spring waters. The corresponding order was signed by Minister Igor Petrashko, the press service of the department reports. According to the report, the order determines the hygienic requirements for the production and circulation of natural mineral water and water from springs; the equipment used for this purpose; mineral and spring water treatment. The order also regulates the labeling of water and the use of certain types of labeling, such as: "stimulates digestion", "suitable for cooking for babies" and more. The requirements will not apply to water used for medical purposes, as well as water consumed by humans at the place of their extraction or at the place of their natural emergence.
