The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers is proposing to increase the minimum wholesale and retail prices for certain alcoholic beverages, as outlined in a draft resolution. The proposed increases vary by product code, with vodka and some other beverages seeing a 6.2% increase, and whiskey, rum, gin, and cognac seeing a 5.9% increase. Wine products could see up to a 34.2% increase. However, the prices for natural grape wines, sparkling wines, and carbonated wine drinks will remain the same. The draft resolution also aims to align product descriptions and their grouping by codes with the Tax Code of Ukraine.
