The U.S. Ministry of Agriculture has increased the forecast for Russian wheat exports.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has increased its forecast for wheat exports from Russia in the 2025/26 agricultural year by 1 million tons, to 44.5 million tons, due to a revision upwards in production volume and significant shipments in March. The crop estimate has been raised from 89.5 million tons to 90.3 million tons (excluding Crimea and new regions). According to Rosstat, the wheat harvest in Russia last year amounted to 91 million tons in net weight (excluding new regions). The U.S. agricultural agency has left the estimate for wheat exports by the closest competitor, the EU, at the March level of 30.5 million tons. The forecast for feed grain exports from Russia has been increased by 0.3 million tons, to 7.63 million tons. The estimate for its gross harvest has been raised from 39.05 million tons to 39.35 million tons due to corn.
