Bai Vang village has found success in Taiwanese apple farming, with over 40 households planting the trees, some with up to 800 trees. The trees begin bearing fruit in the third year, providing a stable yield of 30-35kg per tree. The apples, which are popular in local markets, bring in an income of 35-40 million VND per year. The local government and the Department of Agriculture of Huu Lung district have conducted training courses on Taiwanese apple growing techniques according to VietGAP standards. The simple technique of apple planting requires minimal care but is economically effective.
