Spain: They promote the Supreme Galician Veal brand - Galician Blonde Meat

The Regulatory Council of the Protected Geographical Indications of Beef of Galicia and the National Association of Breeders of Selected Galician Blonde Beef Cattle have joined forces to promote the production and marketing of quality meat produced in Galicia of this breed, under the brand “Supreme Galician Veal – Galician Blonde Meat”. The most significant aspects of the new agreement are that the meat from animals registered in the Regulatory Council, whether calves, cows or oxen, that are of the Rubia Gallega breed, will necessarily go on the market with the following labels, as appropriate: Veal Galician Supreme-Galician Blonde Meat; Galician Cow-Galician Blonde Meat and Galician Ox-Galician Blonde Meat. The entry into force of this collaboration agreement will be on January 1, 2024 and will last for twenty years, although periodic reviews will be carried out every five years on its operation and results achieved.
