Kilis, a city in Turkey, is projected to harvest 90 thousand tons of tomatoes this year, a significant increase from the previous year's 63 thousand tons. Despite facing drought conditions, the average yield is expected to improve to 10 tons per decare. The harvest is distributed within the city and to neighboring provinces. The local Chamber of Agricultural Engineers and the Polateli District Director of Agriculture and Forestry are implementing projects to enhance the income of farmers by processing tomatoes and peppers into paste, and are providing support in pest control to promote healthier crop growth.
