Recent road stoppages have led to a return of normal tomato flow and harvesting activities, but a decrease in supply is being observed due to accelerated fruit maturation caused by high temperatures. This has resulted in a shortage of ripe tomatoes and increased prices in most wholesale markets, with Ceagesp selling tomatoes at R$ 88.75, a 13.29% increase from the previous week. Prices in Belo Horizonte and Campinas also rose significantly, while prices in Rio de Janeiro saw a decrease due to greater regional supply.
