Despite a nearly 7% decrease in the quantity of hazelnuts exported, Turkey's earnings from hazelnut exports have surged by almost 33% to $1.17 billion in the first five months of the current agricultural season. This is in comparison to the same period last season. Turkey continues to be the world's leading exporter of hazelnuts, contributing over 70% to the global total.
