At the 90th Summit of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) in France, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Phung Duc Tien, engaged in discussions with Monique Eloit, WOAH's Director General, and other key partners. The talks focused on enhancing cooperation in areas such as disease management, antibiotic use in livestock, and vaccine technical evaluation. Vietnam sought support for its veterinary capacity, disease control programs, and reporting systems, with WOAH expressing agreement and offering to send experts. In a meeting with the UK Department of Animal Health, discussions were held on agricultural cooperation and the export of meat products to both countries. The French Ministry of Agriculture also met with Vietnam to review the history of agricultural cooperation, highlighting France's support for Vietnam's agricultural development and poverty reduction efforts.
