In January 2022, Ukraine saw a significant increase in the export and import of chocolate and cocoa-containing foods. Exports of these products rose by 24.11% to $16.13 million, with the majority going to Kazakhstan, Romania, and Azerbaijan. Additionally, the country also experienced a 27.28% increase in the export of chocolate and cocoa-free foods, primarily to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan. On the other hand, imports of such products surged by 21% to $17.01 million, with the majority coming from Germany, Austria, and Poland. There was also a notable 83.63% increase in the import of chocolate and cocoa-free foods, the majority of which was imported from Poland, Germany, and Switzerland.
