Ukraine has seen a significant decrease in the demand and export volumes of wheat flour in the 2020/21 season, with exports hitting a decade-low in March. The country only exported 4016 tons, the worst result in the past 10 years, and the total export of wheat flour for the season is projected to be no more than 120-130 thousand tons, a 63% decrease from the previous season. This decline is due to reduced purchases by traditional buyers such as Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Israel, Palestine, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the country's reliance on North Korea as a buyer, which has not placed orders this season. Additionally, Ukrainian flour milling companies have had to lower prices to compete with supply from Russia and Turkey, further impacting the market.
