In the first half of 2021, Ukraine experienced a significant increase in cabbage imports, with a purchase of 17.9 thousand tons, which is a 47% rise from the previous year. The cost of these imports was $10.6 million, a 29.5% increase from the year before, with the main suppliers being North Macedonia, Italy, and Uzbekistan. On the other hand, Ukraine also saw a 39% increase in domestic cabbage exports, reaching 5.1 thousand tons, with Belarus, Romania, and Moldova being the main buyers. The financial impact of these transactions was $1.6 million, marking a 44.4% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
