Ukraine intends to develop a state program for the development of hemp until 2025

The Sumy region will already develop a draft concept of the state target program for the development of cannabis for the period up to 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Department of Agricultural Development of Sumy Regional State Administration. “Sumy region is one of the leaders in the cultivation of technical hemp in Ukraine. The share of hemp sown areas in Sumy region is 22.2% of the total area under this crop in Ukraine, ”the statement reads. The main areas of processing of hemp raw materials are the production of food products from commercial hemp seeds and the production of hemp fiber from trusts.
