Ukrainian gardeners have defied challenging conditions, including occupation by Russian troops, to achieve a record high in blueberry exports in 2022. The country exported over 2.5 thousand tons of fresh blueberries, marking a significant increase of 1.5 times compared to 2021 and surpassing the 2019 record by 11%. Despite the loss of Belarus as a market, Poland became the primary importer, followed by the Netherlands, the UK, and Moldova, with new exports to Spain, Germany, Georgia, and Finland. However, deliveries to the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Singapore were halted due to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
