The U.S. has seen a significant growth in its beef exports, reaching the highest volume and market share since the market's opening in 2008. U.S. beef imports dominated the market for the sixth year in a row, accounting for 54.1% of the total beef imports in 2022. The U.S. Meat Export Association credits this success to expanding food culture and increased consumer awareness and purchase intent. South Korea emerged as the top exporter of U.S. beef in 2022, followed by Hong Kong, China, and Japan.
