Weekly sales of US soybeans, corn, and wheat are within market expectations

Weekly sales of soybeans, corn and wheat for the 2023/24 US crop, in the week of August 18-24, came in line with market expectations. The report was released this Thursday (31) by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). SOY Soybean sales for the 2022/23 crop in the period totaled cancellations of 50.70 thousand tons, a low in the marketing year, and noticeably below the previous week and the average of the last four weeks. The main destination was China. The market expected sales between 50 and 300 thousand tons. In every season, the total oilseed already compromised by the country reaches 53.42 million tons out of a total estimated by the USDA of 53.89 million tons. Soybean sales for the new season (2023/24) totaled 1.12 million tons, within market expectations, which ranged from 600,000 to 1.34 million tons. Unknown destinations led purchases.
