Vietnam's canned tuna exports are projected to grow by over 33% in 2024, reaching more than 43 million US dollars. The main export markets are Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Italy, Cyprus, and Denmark. There has been a significant increase in exports to Poland and Denmark, by 300% and 246% respectively, while exports to the Netherlands have decreased due to increased transportation costs. However, EU importers are reducing their purchases of overseas products due to fears of inflation and rising prices. Ecuador, Cote d'Ivoire, and Seychelles are the largest suppliers of canned tuna to the EU, accounting for 44% of the total EU tuna imports.
