Wheat market stalls in the South without Chicago reference

Wheat remains stalled in the South of the country amid the holiday in the USA and the distance between buyers and sellers. According to TF Agroeconômica, the market in Rio Grande do Sul was halted on Thursday, a reflection of the absence of Chicago quotations due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Without this reference and with mills practically stopped, the producer held off on selling and the warehouse also maintained a defensive stance, waiting for a reaction in prices. Offers from mills remain between R$ 1060 and R$ 1130 CIF, while exportation indicates lower values, around R$ 1035 FOB. The price in Panambi remained at R$ 55.00. Reports from Emater show an accelerated harvest in Rio Grande do Sul, with 88 percent of the area already harvested and an average productivity of 3,261 kg per hectare.
