Russian agricultural watchdog, Rosselkhoznadzor, has refuted claims that butter imported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was actually sourced from Ukraine. The UAE's dairy farming sector is advancing, with some farms producing up to 100,000 liters of milk daily, despite the challenges of heat stress. This productivity is due to superior genetics, feeding, technology, and high costs, resulting in expensive milk. In contrast, Russia's dairy industry is diverse, with various production levels, and currently ranks 18th globally in cow productivity, which has been growing at a rate of 3-4% annually over the past decade. Private farms contribute significantly to Russia's commercial milk production, with an increasing trend toward industrialization in agriculture.
