Uzbekistan is experiencing a unique agricultural season with the cultivation and sale of yellow watermelons, a rare variety grown from Riamo seeds originally from South Korea. Grown by the Imronbek Shakhruza LLC farm in the Tashkent region, these yellow watermelons are prized for their taste, resembling mango, lemon, and pineapple, and their faster ripening time. Despite being more expensive than their red counterparts, both domestically and for export, the demand remains high. The country has already exported over 28 thousand tons of watermelons in the current season, marking a record achievement for the past five years.
