South Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has reported a significant loss of bees, with a total of 7.8 billion bees dead this winter. Despite this, the impact on honey supply and demand, as well as crop pollination, is expected to be minimal. The ministry plans to support bee farms affected by bee mortality through loans and provision of necessary drugs to prevent further damage. Inspections of beekeeping sites will be conducted monthly to identify the cause of bee mortality and prevent future recurrence.
