The village, which employs nearly 10,000 people at peak harvest season, specializes in growing cloves over 2,000 decares of land and tomatoes over 700 decares. The majority of the workforce, which includes many female farmers, is involved in the production, while men handle marketing and transportation. The village has achieved its production goals and has generated substantial foreign exchange and national income through the sale of these crops in the domestic and international markets.
