The Lipetsk region in Russia has seen a significant increase in agricultural production, with over 33,000 tons of vegetables and lettuce harvested from greenhouses since the start of 2023. This places the region at the top in the country for greenhouse crop production. The region also leads in the production of various food and processing industry products such as processed potatoes, unrefined rapeseed oil, and baby food. In recent years, the region has also started producing new types of products including vegetable oils, snacks, juices, french fries, and yeast. These products not only meet the regional demand but are also exported across Russia and abroad. Governor Igor Artamonov has identified the food and processing industry as a strategic sector of the region's economy.
