The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru has partnered with the Cooperative League of the United States of America (NCBA-CLUSA) to boost the commercial competitiveness of producer organizations. The collaboration will aim to connect farmers to national and international markets, enhance the commercial value of local products, and foster an entrepreneurial culture in the agricultural sector. The agreement, which lasts for three years, will also focus on productive chains like cocoa, coffee, ginger, turmeric, oregano, and South American camelids, and will work towards the formalization of agricultural cooperatives and associations of small and medium producers.
