An American delegation arrives in Cairo, Egypt, to expand the import of medicinal and aromatic plants

The Ministry of Agriculture discussed increasing exports of medicinal and aromatic plants to the American market during the visit of a delegation of American businessmen to Egypt a few days ago, especially with America occupying the second place in importing Egyptian medicinal and aromatic products. It is noteworthy that the value of agricultural exports of medicinal and aromatic plants exceeded 117 million dollars annually, amounting to more than one billion and 800 million pounds.
A report issued by the Ministry of Agriculture represented by the agricultural services sector confirmed that field visits were organized for the delegation in Fayoum Governorate, to inspect farms, factories and packing stations to determine the extent to which the products adhere to the best international standards. The meeting dealt with opportunities to export medicinal and aromatic plants to America in terms of marketing these products, the conditions for exporting them and the level of their prices so that they can be marketed to the American importer and opening various fields for the Egyptian product in the United States. The report emphasized that the visit was very fruitful, as the most important cultivations of medicinal and aromatic plants in Fayoum Governorate were presented, noting that the governorate is where the cultivation of these plants is widespread.
