Argentine beef exports hit a record high of 907 thousand tons of carcass equivalent in the past year, marking the highest volume since 1924, despite lower shipments to China. This increase was offset by higher shipments to Israel and the EU. The weighted average price of the main five destinations increased by 5% in September compared to August, but is still 1% lower than the previous year. A correction was made at the beginning of the year for a problem with the registration of foreign sales, involving the improper calculation of bones from butchering, which had increased export totals by about 10 thousand tons per month.
