ARLA Foods inaugurates today its third tower to double whey production

Arla Foods Ingredients, a global leader in early nutrition, medical, sports, and other segments, supplies markets in Latin America and Asia from its plant in Argentina. The investment for this third tower was approximately 50 million. The equipment for the construction of the new tower, manufactured by Relco and Koch Separation Solutions, companies prominent in separation technology for the food industry, will allow the company to double the production of high-quality whey. The work is expected to be completed in 2026. Whey permeate powder, a by-product of cheese production and the extraction of protein concentrates from whey, is rich in lactose. This ingredient will allow all permeate solids produced on-site to be converted into dry ingredients, meeting the demand for food and beverage markets.
