In 2020, Armenia imported 1.7 million tons of tomatoes from Turkey, a decrease from the 2.9 million tons imported in 2019, according to the Zhoghovurd newspaper. The newspaper also reported an unspecified import of tomatoes and cucumbers from Iran. The import of these vegetables is causing concern as they are sold at low prices, negatively impacting local production. Additionally, Armenia imported apricots from Iran, Georgia, and Turkey.
