The Tambov region in Russia saw a significant increase in agricultural exports in 2021. Wheat flour exports rose more than 19 times compared to the previous year, with over 4.57 thousand tons exported to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Belarus. Wheat bran, a by-product of wheat processing, was also exported for the first time, with Turkey being the main buyer. The Tambov region, which is home to over 10 large and medium-sized flour mills, aims to further increase its manufactured product exports in 2022.
