The National Supply Company (Conab) negotiated support for the marketing of 64.7 thousand tons of wheat and approximately 16.88 thousand tons of rice produced in the southern region of the country in new auctions held on the morning of this Wednesday (24). The operations are part of the Equalizing Premium Paid to Rural Producers (Pepro) and the Premium for Product Marketing (PEP) mechanisms, according to a balance sheet released by the state-owned company. In the case of wheat, the volume negotiated corresponded to 100% of the total offered in the auction of the day, entirely through Pepro. Conab informed that, added to the 170.68 thousand tons already negotiated in operations held last Monday (22), the support for the marketing of the cereal reached 235.38 thousand tons.
