The Hass variety accounts for no less than 99.7% of all avocados grown in Chile. The order of importance of the destination markets for Chilean avocados has changed somewhat over time. Twenty seasons ago, the main destination was the United States. Since 2012/13, Europe has taken over (67.7% share). This is followed by Latin America (18.5%).
