A report has been brought forward by the chairman, who has accused the Nepali government of not taking sufficient measures to curb illegal supply of Indian bananas despite the issue being highlighted. The main production hub of these bananas is Chitwan in south-central Nepal, a region with approximately 3,200 hectares dedicated to banana cultivation and involving over 700 farmers. This report brings attention to the need for more stringent actions from the government to address the illegal supply of bananas from India.
