REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The National Food Agency has requested that Bulog increase its warehouse capacity to meet the absorption needs of rice and paddy at the beginning of 2026. The government targets Bulog to be able to absorb up to 3 million tons during the peak harvest season so that the readiness of storage facilities becomes a determining factor for the stability of the national rice supply. Head of the National Food Agency Andi Amran Sulaiman assessed the performance of the management of the Government Rice Reserves (CBP) throughout 2025 as a historic achievement reflecting improvements in food governance.
