Hungary: Barley and corn continue to rise in price on the markets

Feed barley and corn are doing well both on the French stock exchange and on the Ukrainian markets. Domestic prices were lower at the end of November and the beginning of December. At home, the price of corn tends to go down in recent weeks. According to the Agricultural Economics Institute, fodder corn was traded for an average of HUF 73-74 thousand at the end of November (this is 30% higher than at this time last year). The March listing of ISCC NUTS II sustainable fodder corn on BÉT decreased by HUF 1,000 to HUF 83,000/ton between November 25 and December 6. On the Paris commodity exchange, the March settlement price of the crop was between 203 and 210 euros/ton. On the Ukrainian market, the price of fodder corn continued to rise last week, after producers continued to slow down and postpone grain sales until spring.
