Because of the lack of onions, Senegal resorts to Morocco

Faced with the scarcity of onions in Senegal, the authorities of this country decided to resort to Morocco to relieve consumers, as the Market Regulatory Agency (ARM) announced the arrival of 2,400 tons of onions. A report published by "Les Inspirations Eco" added that a shipment of ten thousand tons of Moroccan onions is expected to arrive in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, and a delegation from the Senegalese Ministry of Trade will visit the Kingdom to determine the conditions for supplying the country with Moroccan onions. The Moroccan authorities agreed to the Kingdom, exceptionally, to respond to Senegal's request, at a time when the government had not yet authorized professionals to export potatoes and onions to African markets due to their high prices in Morocco, while giving the green light with regard to various types of vegetables and fruits.
