Beekeepers say outright: we do not trust the data. They want registration of bees.

Vice Minister Małgorzata Gromadzka announced work on changing the law to enable the registration of bees in the IRZ system managed by ARiMR. Beekeepers are advocating for a central electronic system of apiary data because, as they point out, the current statistics on the number of apiaries and beekeepers are unreliable. The Ministry of Agriculture informs about record financial support for beekeeping and new rules for honey labeling with the indication of countries of origin and percentage shares. The meeting of the parliamentary agriculture committee was dedicated to the current situation in beekeeping. As Małgorzata Gromadzka informed, Poland is among the top honey producers in the EU, and Polish beekeepers harvest about 30 thousand tons of honey annually. In the last 20 years, the number of bee colonies has tripled to almost 2.5 million by 2025, and the number of beekeepers has doubled to almost 97 thousand.
