Despite a slight increase in honey exports in the first four months of 2024, the export market in Argentina is facing a significant price drop. Between January and April of 2024, there was an 8.8% increase in honey exports compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 25,775.1 tons. However, the price per ton of honey fell dramatically, with a 31.8% decrease in January, 24.3% in February, 19.1% in March, and a pronounced 25.4% decrease in April compared to the same months in 2023. Over the last ten years, honey prices in Argentina have seen a general downward trend, with a high of 3,750.4 dollars per ton in 2014, which has since fallen to around 2,000 to 2,600 dollars, and a brief increase between 2021 and 2022 when prices exceeded 3,000 dollars per ton.
