As of March 23, Brazil's safrinha corn sowing has reached 96% of planned areas, with states like Mato Grosso, Goiás, and Sao Paulo completing field work. Despite lower rainfall in Parana, sowing is not yet fully completed. Harvesting of first-crop corn and soybeans is also underway, with progress at 58% and 70% of planned areas respectively, with Mato Grosso experiencing delays. Due to significant losses in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil's soybean production forecast for 2022/23 MY has been revised down by 0.6 million tons to 150.3 million tons.
