In 2024, Brazil achieved a record high in its agricultural exports, with chicken exports reaching 5.294 million tons, a 3% increase from the previous year, and pork exports hitting 1.352 million tons, a 10% increase year-on-year. The revenue from these exports also saw significant growth, with chicken exports generating US$9.928 billion and pork exports bringing in US$3.033 billion. China continues to be the largest importer of Brazilian chicken, followed by the UAE, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, while the Philippines, Chile, and Japan were the main importers of Brazilian pork. The Mexican government's renewal of the PACIC plan to combat inflation and food shortages, which includes the removal of meat quota restrictions and zero tariffs, is expected to further boost Brazil's poultry and pork exports to Mexico in 2025.
