Brief overview of China’s tea import and export from January to August 2023

Tea export situation ​ According to customs statistics, from January to August 2023, my country's tea exports were 237,200 tons, with a value of US$1.16 billion, and an average price of US$4.89/kg, down 4.01%, 15.07% and 11.57% respectively year-on-year. ​ Among various tea categories, the exports of green tea (197,800 tons), black tea (19,400 tons), Pu'er tea (1,121 tons) and dark tea (185 tons) showed a downward trend, with the largest decrease of 25.28% for dark tea; oolong tea (14,200 tons) The largest export growth rate was 6.1%. ​ The top 10 tea export markets are Morocco, Ghana, Uzbekistan, Algeria, Senegal, Mauritania, Russia, Benin, Mali and Japan.
