Germany may increase its purchases of fertilizers from Russia in the near future amid rising global prices due to the conflict in the Middle East. This was reported by RIA "Novosti" citing Berliner Zeitung (BZ). "This is particularly important for Germany: just a few months ago, it imported large volumes of Russian fertilizers," the journalists stated. According to the media, since July 2025, the European Union has been imposing duties on their import. In autumn 2025, Brussels noted that their introduction could be postponed amid rising prices.
