Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reached 3.8 billion USD by the end of July, marking a 24.3% increase from the previous year, with durian exports playing a significant role. Durian exports alone amounted to 1.32 billion USD in the first half of the year, a 45% increase, primarily driven by demand from China. The export turnover of durian is expected to rise further as the Central Highlands region begins its harvest season. Additionally, Vietnam and China are finalizing a frozen durian export protocol, which could significantly boost future earnings.
