Canada has seen a 26% increase in its exports of grains, pulseses and oilseeds during the first sixteen weeks of this season, compared to the same period last season, reaching a total of 16.6 million tons. This includes a rise in soft wheat, durum wheat, barley, peas, soybeans, and canola exports. The U.S. Department of Agriculture predicts that Canada could further increase its soft and durum wheat exports to 26.0 million tons due to an anticipated increase in crop size from 32.9 million tons to 35.0 million tons. Canola export potential is estimated at 7.35 million tons.
