Peruvian chillies and peppers exports experienced a decline of -21% in value from January to July 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, with a total of US$ 118,182,000. Despite this, a recovery of 6% is anticipated for the end of the year due to increased demand in the United States. The Capsicum Committee of the business association is taking steps to boost producers' capacities and marketing through training, trade fairs, and missions to places like Expo Antad in Mexico and Alimentaria in Spain. Plans are also underway for the International Capsicum Convention next year. The United States, Mexico, Spain, Poland, and Germany are the primary recipients of these exports.
