Prices for carrots in Ukraine have increased due to higher demand from wholesalers and retail chains, leading to a 15% price hike to 23-30 UAH/kg ($0.55-0.71/kg). The price rise is also attributed to a decrease in substandard products and anticipation of further price increases. Despite the higher prices, demand for vegetables remains strong, with carrots being 2.6 times more expensive than last year. Additionally, the cost of white cabbage and potatoes is also on the rise.
