Casablanca: The soaring prices of fruits and vegetables continue

The prices of fruits and vegetables continue to rise exorbitantly in several regions including Casablanca. Despite a drop in the volume of quantities received directly from farmers compared to the same period in 2019, wholesalers believe that this can in no way justify the soaring costs. The latter denounce the “greed” of retailers who, according to them, are responsible for the disruption of the chain, from the farmer to the consumer. “The variation in the prices of fruits and vegetables is linked to supply and demand in the market.
