In the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year, Iran's caviar export value surged by over 41 percent, with an 82 percent increase in weight compared to the same period last year. The country's overall fishery exports also grew, with a 30 percent rise in value and a 40 percent increase in weight year on year. Last fiscal year, Iran's fishery exports surpassed $310 million, with shrimp exports contributing $98.5 million. Key markets for these products include Russia, the UAE, China, and Iraq. Additionally, Iran's fishery imports experienced significant growth, with a 121 percent increase in weight and a 113 percent rise in value.
