The Brazilian Association of Buffalo Breeders (ABCB) is celebrating 21 years of its '100% Buffalo Seal' certification on dairy products, which signifies that these products have been made exclusively with buffalo milk. This initiative ensures consumers are consuming a product with higher nutritional value, as buffalo milk is richer in calcium, phosphorus, vitamins, and proteins, and has less cholesterol. The milk samples from the certified dairy products are analyzed by the Animal Science Institute to ensure authenticity. The Seal of Purity has played a significant role in increasing the capture and processing of buffalo milk, with more dairy companies achieving the certification and covering the national market.
