Indonesia and Chile are looking to extend their agricultural trade cooperation, with Indonesia hoping to use Chile as a hub for agricultural exports to other Latin American countries. The trade balance between the two countries was around USD 800 thousand in 2020, with Indonesia's main exports to Chile being palm oil products, veterinary drugs, pineapple, coconut, and other plantation products. The Indonesian government is planning to sign a memorandum of understanding on trade in agriculture with Chile and is also considering creating farming clusters in East Kalimantan to increase exports to Chile.
